Aquatic Weed Harvesters offer an environmentally sound method of controlling excessive aquatic plant growth and nuisance vegetation in waterways of all sizes. These heavy-duty workboats are highly efficient in the management of submerged, emergent, and free-floating aquatic vegetation. Like an underwater lawnmower, an aquatic weed harvester cuts the vegetation, collecting and storing the weeds on board. One horizontal and two vertical cutter bars sever the vegetation as the machine moves forward through the water. When the storage hold becomes full, the weed harvester returns to shore to unload. The 5:8 Sure-Mount Paddle Wheel technology has 13 connection points to securely attach to the hydraulic drive. The 5:8 design enables the largest barges to push through the waterwith stability and control in heavy weeds or débris fields. Aquarius Weed Harvesters are engineered to last. With a strong internai framework, multiple airtight compartiments, and the Vee bow hull that glides effortlessly through the water. Clean-running powerful diesel engines are known for their longevity, reliability, durability, and fuel efficiency. An additional in-line fuel filter ensures engine health. The ever popular 420 Series Weed Harvester has a minimum 7’ 0” (2,13 m) wide horizontal sickle bar and is the solution for medium sized harvesting projects.
